A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Possessing the soul of a statue within the caverns far below, you must make the most of your mystical abilities to break through the confines of the dungeon.

This project is a test of my understanding of the Unity Engine!  Originally starting as a summer project, I decided to test the concept of mixing top-down movement into a 2D platformer.

Art in this game is awesome! All the effects, animations and parallax background make a the game look really clean. Controls also felt very tight and responsive, reminded me of Hollow Knight, although having some slight momentum where turning or after a dash could have been cool. I also found the input to short jump really hard to do.

It felt very punishing having to restart the whole level on death, especially when deaths happened that felt like they weren’t my fault from a sliding bug or not seeing the next obstacle due to the camera being zoomed in. Maybe you could have lives being a harder mode, or levels could be shorter?

I thought the secrets and optional challenges were very cool. Also the moving platform obstacles with orbiting fire were very satisfying to jump through.

I got stuck on the fourth level, I jumped up the wrong wall on the fourth level and got killed by those red evil spirits. Unfortunately couldn’t reach the boss fight on my own :(

Overall it was a lot of fun and I love the vibe as well as the whole concept, I would have loved to see more switching between the platforming and flying states as they both felt very cool to switch between. Look forward to playing your next game! :D

Wow, lots to say and really good feedback! Thanks so much, I'll try make the next title more forgiving :')
